Hey kidfisherman. I live in Porter county and most of my fishing is from the lakes around the Valparaio area. I have had some good success in the Laporte area, fishing Pine and Stone lakes. I used to fish some lakes near Plymouth Indiana, but am not sure what is available to the public anymore. But I remember some great fishing there back many years ago. As for lure choices, the ones I have had the best success with lately are white tandom spinners made by Terminator, white with gold or silver blades. And crank baits worked in the deeper edges of weed beds. Some days they like the darker cranks, but lately white seems to get their attention. Something about white lures and indiana bass. A 1/2 oz. black and blue jig with a craw trailer seems to work well in the lilly pads. Earlier in the year, 6inch salamanders retrieved slowly around shallow cover was hot. Good luck!
