I bought one that I never gotten around to fishing with it. I have the 6'6" MH and the only thing that seems "bad" if that is the word is that it feels on the heavy side, akin to an ugly stick. I am not a weight weenie but it felt noticeably heavier. It seemed sufficiently sensitive while dragging a piece of lead along the street in my cul de sac.
The reason that it didn't get used was because I bought a crucial before I could get to "know" it. I keep it around as a back up jig rod for a guest.

I've had several, all in the MH. For an inexpensive rod, I think they're great. I've had a couple for years with no complaints whatsoever.

My first good rod back in the 80īs was a Lightning Rod, back in those days they werenīt exactly cheap ( 85 bones + tax ) for one, as the years went by slowly they were brought down from their level firts by the Bionix and later another step down from the ladder by the Series One. Pretty good rods, canīt say anything about the newer ones because I havenīt tried them but I still fish with my older ones.

I have been usin the Lightin rod myself for 2 years. I love them and they work well for alot of uses. I would rate them a 9 out of 10.

They have a real good blank and if you get a cork handle they have a good grip. There is a big diference one to the other in the guides. They come with Titanium, Chromium, steel or Fugi. I have 2 with Titanium guides that are as good as any Loomis I have for weight and sensitivity. The parabolic action is not as good as a Loomis. You will be able to tell real fast about the guides. They make a huge difference in price. Titanium casting 80 bucks Chromium casting about 30. They used to be more expensivge than they are, I have a series one that I paid over 100 for 20 years ago. They moved to Mexico and thier prices went way down. The medium heavy 6 foot titanium make a great in close spinnerbait rod. Fish2win
