Today and everyday I'm thankful that:
I know where I'll spend eternity nothings leaking out of my truck I can look down and see my toes I have heat in the house I'm aware of the location and mood of my local fish my wife wears a size 4 I'm not in the ICU with tubes running all in/out of me there's not a warrant out on me I'll probably live long enough to see a 2 oz baitcaster I have a rural address I smell ham in the oven I'm 30 minutes or less away from all my fav fishing spots

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and your families.("Turkey Day" is a liberal plot, b.c. they don't want us to be "thankful" for anything.)
I'm thankful for my friends and family...and while the bird roast, I get some time to go toss the north rip rap for some Thanksgiving fishing. Almost forgot, I am thankful to the men and women serving in our military, and wish them all and their families a Happy Thanksgiving. Last edited by Dogmatic; 11-22-12 at 08:53 AM. |

Happy day to ALL!
Not enough room to list all the blessings I'm thankful for. I wish to thank God for blessing me with friends like you folks and all the other blessings he's given me! Thanksgiving comes but once a year But when it comes it brings good cheer For in my FISH house on this day are piles of good things hid away Each day I've worked from early morn To gather jigs, plastics, and rigs so my Monkey has no reason to MOURN!

I hope and pray that each and every one of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!! I hope and pray that you have a chance to share your goodness with someone less fortunate then yourself. I hope and pray that each of you have a chance to show someone that GOOD and CARING people are still out there. I also hope and pray that if you're traveling you get to and back home safely.
I'm thankful for my father, that he is still with us and fighting hard to get home and back to doing the things he loves. (fishing, golfing and traveling) I'm thankful for my wife, without her I'd be half the man I am today, because she makes me whole! I'm thankful for my health, roof over our heads, and our jobs, I'm also thankful for a group of great and caring friends. I'm also thankful for my family, without them, the last month and a half would had be unbearable, caring for my father alone. HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING ALL!!! |

Okay, if we're going to list a few things, I'll have a go of what ...
I'm thankful for: > Growing up responsible with a strong work ethic. > Facing adversity with character. > The ability to learn and grow. > A McGiver like mechanical ability to fix things. > A wife that loves me and I love back that causes me to always strive to be a better man. > A spunky daughter that will likely beat up the first boy that breaks her heart. > A healthy, happy family life. > A warm, dry, nice home in the country that we built ourselves on land my grandfather pastured his work horses. > A country where we can speak our minds and not worry every minute of bombs, missiles, and crazy terrorist 'soldiers' in our streets. > A turkey in the oven and some food stores in the pantry. > A place to come and talk fish to a bunch of friendly rednecks To name a few. HAPPY THANKSGIVING Everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful say. Wasn't able to get on here yesterday due to the cooking that started at 6:00 a.m. and final cleanup was concluded at 3:15 p.m. Thankful for every second of it and that otherwise distant family was here to share it with us.
