well i was fishing first day with a guide. we were using topwater and live shad. she hit the shad. was on nest guarding fry. on a lay down in about 19 foot of water. i now see what they mean when they say how they fight. took me almost 15 min to get her to the net. caught her on 8lb test with a med 7 foot spinning rod. got 3 more that day in boat they were all top water rapala minnow. lost 11 more due to break off. but all gave a great fight. friday i lost a 5/6lber at boat went under boat and broke off on big motor. had good trime with the fishing ready to go back next week lol.
