Trolling Motor Transducer
Broke the wire on the transducer that was mounted on my trolling motor. I am replacing it, but don't know if I should replace it with the puck type transducer or another skimmer transom type. I know the puck is designed more for the trolling motor, but someone said the skimmer is better because it is away from the motor and causes less noise in the electronics.??

I'd go with the skimmer, I believe they are a little cheaper also. One thing you should think about is protecting the t/m transducer from stumps, rocks or running shallow. This is what I use, and they are not that expensive. Cheaper than replacing a transducer. And I believe Jan is a sponsor here.
