Dancing a Jig
So tomorrow we get to take the boat out and do some fishing for the first time this year. Dad and I were out getting our rods, reels and the boat ready to go in the morning. When all the sudden dad started dancing around and shouting. I thought he was doing a jig and dancing with the music in his head. Turns out there was a snake on the ground and he was dancing to get out of the way. He finally got over to the other side of the boat. I looked over and found he was dancing away from a little bitty snake maybe at best a foot long. He was dancing and screaming like a banshee. I think the boat was shaking I was laughing so hard. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long while.

Unfortunately there are no pics because I would pay money to have had a video camera.

I guess he would not be happy sitting down at the helm and feel one crawl across his foot some morning?

Good thing he didn't think to grab a gun. The bottom of your boat would look like Swiss cheese....

We don't really have to many poisonous snakes around here. Copperheads are about all you will really run into. You see a few Timber Rattlers but thats it (those are rare around where we live) . I wouldn't let dad kill it. It didn't do anything wrong. To be honest it should get to live just for allowing me to laugh that hard
