I'm like Cory... I use 1/4 oz. jigs the least. However, 1/4 oz. is the size you want to use in very cold water temps.
Other than that, 3/8 oz or 1/2 oz. flipping jigs are the norm, since I am nearly always going after a reaction bite. In fact, I'm now throwing 3/4 oz. flipping jigs in the warmer months as well. I suspect one day, you may even see anglers throwing 1 oz tungsten flipping jigs. It's all about the reaction bite.
