This is how I see ....
GOD/Jesus........Why do most faiths see him as a grumpy, unhappy being?
THIS IS NOT MEANT TO OFFEND ANYONE! Forgot disclaimer: Ya, I stole it!

Curious, what makes you believe that most faiths see him as grumpy or unhappy.

I'm sure Joe meant to say some faiths. I think it's because some organized religions/faiths/denominations struggle with understanding how God can be both a Loving-Merciful-Gracious God and a Righteous-Jealous-Holy God.

on a serious note here folks. i tend to agree with joe here. i mean if GOD didn't have a sense of humor, how do you explain laughter? how do you explain me? i am serious now. i mean if GOD is so sad aobut the world and wants us to always be sincere and sad, why did he give us the thought of happiness, laughter and the ability to make others laugh?
while i can be sad, depressed and even angry because of all the bad things going on in our world today, i choose to TRY to look on the bright side of things. like joe, i want people to laugh and be happy....even at MY expense. if it makes you laugh, go ahead and laugh at me. at least when oyu are lauging and having a grand ol time at my expense.....you're forgetting all the troubles if only for s little while.JESUS is a kind, cheerful, forgiving, thoughtful and FUNNY fella. yes he is going to lead us to savalation in the final battle. but he wants US to be happy in our life here. i know i ain't the perfect person, christian to walk GOD'S land. but i DO try to be the best person i can be. and i TRY to treat others as i want them to treat me. it is hard to do.......REAL HARD to do. so i laugh it off most times when i am hurt, or made angry by some folks. i fall each and every day. but i know that i am lifted up by HIM. sorry, i have been reading this for a couple hours and jsut didn't know quite how to put down the proper words. as ya'll know, my typing skills aren't the best, lol. but while i do get mad, angry and downright PISSED and i will use words not really meant for public. well, not meant to be SAID nor typed as far as that fgoes. i TRY. and that is all HE asks of us. to have faith and do the best we can while we are here. i am going to TRULY do my best from here on out in the areas i am at fault with. guess you can say this is some sort of confession of sorts. i will fail daily i know. but i am going to reach for HIM to lift me up when i fall. sorry if this is too much for some of you to understand. you will know what i am talking aobut soon enough. i am still gonna be "ME", just gonna try to be a BETTER me.

I saw a show on history about the writings of Judas. And in his writings Jesus did laugh and have a sense of humor.
I know a lot of folks might say well that was Judas, can't go by that. But like it said in that show, they all had a purpose. Christ had to go to the cross for our sins it was his destiny. So someone had to do the deed, Judas may have been chosen to do that deed rather than chose to do it himself. Just my opinion and like Joe, I mean not to offend.

During my nightly visit with our friend I remember something about an electrical engineer in Southwest IN who may want to keep an eye looking over his shoulder for a couple of days.

Even though Judas gave Jesus away, Jesus would ask us to be forgiving....he also asked us to forgive the jews and romans who had a hand in the crucifixition. I think he would expect us to be so forgiving, even if His death and Resurrection werent already a necessity.
I kinda think Jesus would look a bit like Jeff Bridges...and yeah, a sense of humor. You know that whole thing about Tim Tebow passing for 316 yards against the steelers...aint that just a divine joke? "hey hey, world, look what I can do."?
