Re: Looking for jon boat or small plastic boat
I've got a "basshunter". It's 9' long and I have installed a trolling moter which I loosend the screw and turned the top of the moter around. Now I can fish from the front. It weighs appx 100 lbs and will fit into a short bed truck.

Can you tell me what trolling motor you have for it? I recently purchased this raft and would like to get a trolling motor for it. Thanks |

Re: Looking for jon boat or small plastic boat
kevin, for that raft you dont need to much thrust, maybe 15lbs? that will scoot you along just finely. if you want some speed maybe go with 20lbs. as for brands, i have heard good things abiout minn-kota. but i dont even own a boat, so im not the best persont to answer this.

I've got a Motor Guide 20 lb thrust. Pulls me along just fine. Fish on speed 1. On speed 5 it looks like you could ski behind this small boat.
