OK, seriously - you are doing the intelligent thing in hiring a guide for unfamiliar water, even if you had a boat a guide for a day at the beginning of a trip is a smart idea. I haven't been on Pickwick (wanted to last year while I was at Wheeler, but it didn't happen) but I have been on Dale Hollow. I'm not a night fisherman, but that is the big thing at Dale this time of year along with trolling. If you don't mind fishing at night or trolling you should catch a couple smallmouth, along with (as NFE mentioned) trout and walleye. |
