Review of Jumping Frog from Thailand
Awesome lure that goes thru heavy cover nicely...not great but nicely. Suggest 40lb braid BTW. The LGmouth destroy it and the hookup ratio is much better than a horny toad. They do get stuck but 40lb braid will pull them back. The snakehead hookup ratio went from 50% to about 90% due the hooks and how they sit behind the lure. LGMouth if given a chance to jump can dislodge the bait just like a rattletrap gets dislodged. It requires a constant twitch on retrieve so it may not be for everyone. I went to a lighter rod and reel it works much better.
Color does not matter as it moves too fast. Capt Mike

Looks good. Glad I don't have to piss around with snakeheads around here.

How well does it cast? Looks like a fly rod popper to me.

It has 10.5 to 13 grams of weight depending on maker. Most are hand made wood and or resin. Some have wire wraps on hooks for balance and extra weight. Rod tip down and a fast retrieve with a twitch makes the lure "Ploop" as it moves. More twitches per yard and you get a really aggressive hits.

Just wanted to add that I got some that do not float. They sink very slowly. When you pull they come to the surface quickly. It works better than the floaters. When you see the fish follow as snakeheads always do you can stop and the hit is quick as slowly sinks.
