The weekend

Well I just got back from our family camping trip with my sons boy scout troop and am happy to say that the weekend went really well. We got to do a bunch of hiking and fishing with the kids and built a heck of a bon fire last night . all together it turned out to be a great event for us

great news jim. glad you had a good time. i always wanted to be in the scouts as a kid. but hey we went camping anyway without having to join. gues that is why my parents didn't let us join. saved them money, lol.

I was in the cub scouts for about a month. They told me not to come back before I could earn my first badge.

hehehe... naw, they didn't like the way I started fires. Everybody else was rubbing sticks together, I had my handy dandy bic that I'd snatched from pop when he won't lookin. There was plenty of pine straw and pine cones under the azalias... You'd think they wouldn't put something that would go up that quick around bushes they wanted to keep.

And it was the boy scouts that was suppose to be earning their fire bages, not us cub scouts.

man i miss it

I recieved my eagle scout back in 98'
since then,Ive been in-active.....I still try and go camping when i can but its always in cabins!!....and i like my little coleman tent better than anything.

Glad you had a good trip.......you can never go wrong with camping in my opinion.
