Will they let you take the houseboat out of its slip, or just use it at the dock for extra room/beds?

Here is a link to the Eagles Nest which is what they call the upper floor of the Harbor House. 4 bedrooms and 2 full bath with a full kitchen and covered deck.

I went ahead and did the math for our new rental package and I was pleasantly surprised with the numbers!
The total rental cost for the entire Habor House that we agreed upon including the 12% tax is $1715. Don, correct me if I'm wrong, you said when the office called you this morning to give you the news about the Harbor House and the Houseboat, they said there would be NO EXTRA COST. Well besides the cost for fuel for the houseboat. Okay, here's what the Resort is offering us to make up for not having the lower floor of the Harbor House ready for occupancy. A four day rental of the Eagles Nest including 12% tax is $870. AND a four day rental of the 64 ft. four bedroom Houseboat including 12% tax is $1786.40. Not including fuel Okay both rentals have the combined cost of $2655.52, which includes the 12% tax. So because the Marina was unable to have both floors of the Harbor House ready for us like they said they would, management is granting us what amounts to $940.52 in accommodation upgrades to make it right. -Mark Last edited by woody; 04-14-14 at 07:21 PM. |

Lookit Woody crunchin some numbers! ; )
Sounds good on the 2nd floor kitchen. For the Thursday dinner I'l need an oven and a grill. I know the harbor house has 2 propane grills and I'm assuming the boat has one as well. Really doesn't matter to me which place I crash at

Also, I sleep on the couch a lot. If need be, I'm fine with the double bed

I prefer a white or a bluegill pattern. hehehe I'm just saying
I went to the Marina's new website looking for info about the fuel agreement for the Houseboat and didn't see anything about it. I'll bring along a couple of five gallon gas cans so we don't have to fuel up with the higher priced marina gas. -Mark |

Here's a link to Dale Hollow Marina's new website. I read on the website that they are in process of turning that newly built marina lounge area into a bar and grill, which is a great idea! Check out their new website, it's a big improvement.

I might not mind staying on the boat. Of course, it will be hard to resist fishing out of the bedroom window....
