Choosing a rod/reel
This time of year we get a lot of questions from guys wondering about getting a new rod or reel and how to choose one. So I thought I'd offer a little advice on making the choice.
Regardless of what you are wanting to get there is one thing I cannot emphasize highly enough, and that is: Before you buy, if at all possible, GO GET YOUR HANDS ON IT!!!! Pick it up. Handle it. Find the one that feels right to YOU, because you are the one that is going to be fishing with it. I know instantly when I pick up a rod or reel if I like it or not, and I know I am not alone in that. So........pick it up, find the right one for you, and go load the boat!

All too true, Keith and Bubba. That's why I say when possible.
On the plus side, once you find the one that works ordering on line is no biggie. You already know how it feels.
