The first and second strikes just kind of startled 'ME'. OK, took me by surprised ....or more like pissed my pants. Probably could have left it out. Just wasn't expecting it I guess. After the first one was like in slow motion.

That's a hecka of a hungry bass. For me that puts to rest the question of do bass shy away from fishing line.

Well I've seen fenced deer not shy away from humans too but I still think if they are wild it's a whole different set of rules and actions.
Don't find many in the wild that don't run from humans.
