aggression on the internet
Has anyone ever been just talking to people on chat or on a forum and someone throws aggression at you? Happens to me all the time. I mean it makes sense since its easier to vent your anger at a random stranger safe behind a keyboard because there's no consequences apposed to doing the same in real life. I know we can all be a little cynical from time to time when having a bad day. I guess we all have different ways of therapy and some result in being rude to others. Can't we all just get along.

The internet tough guys are everywhere. Forums give some people the perfect venue to act tough. The anonymity comforts them. In all reality, they are probably 47 years old, 5' 3" tall, and live in their parents basement. (No offense to anybody that I just described)
On a side note MACK: I love Ludington and all points north up the coast from you! I will be sailing into port, on the SS Badger, some time in July.

I am one of the moderators on the Texas Fishing Forum and we see it A LOT! Keyboard Warriors! Brave souls that will lash out at you over the internet but walk a country mile, out of the way, to keep from confronting you at the ramp. lol!

Yeah...internet aggression can be especially bad when you're pretending to be someone else.

Hey Bob. I am an administrator/moderator at lakestatefishing.com (MN based site), and we deal with the same b.s. all the time. I like the term Keyboard Warriors! Hope you don't mind that I am going to borrow it.

Chet and MACK feel free to use it, it's not copyrighted! In our Moderator's section we talk about it all the time. You can generally tell when cabin fever sets in really bad because that's when the warriors start dancing! Then when the weather gets good and the temporary warriors get outdoors the only ones that are left are usually the Trolls!
