Default Sigh....

It's absolutely beautiful today. Except for the 20-30 mph wind.

Same thing forecast for tomorrow.

Oh well....I've finally written off today for taking the boat out. I'm just going to head into the office and get some work done. Pretty pathetic, I know. <weak laugh>

Haha! Yep, come on April 30!
Don't worry Bryce. You'll have a 5 pounder in the books before I can (legally) go after some bass

Bama, WE caught 11 yesterday and only 2 today. posted some pics on the Bragging Board. Went all the way to the back of Town and didn't do squat over there. Got the best fish of the trip in a little creek cut connecting Mud and Town together. It was brutally windy today! Windy yesterdy too, much colder yesterday than it was today.

As fate would have it, there wasn't a breeze to be had when we arrived at the lake about noon.....That is until the boat hit the water and here it came.

What I don't understand is, no matter which cove I try to take cover in, the wind suddenly seems to be coming from the back of that cove. I could move across the lake and the wind would turn and blow from that direction as soon as reached the other side....Its like I must of upset Anemoi or something....LOL

And how come the gail force winds only gust when I'm either, A. Hung up on something. B. Attempting to retie a lure, or C. Dealing with a backlash!

Bryce, I'm sorry you weren't able to get on the water buddy.....As frustrating as it was fighting the wind, I kinda wish I'd of stayed home and worked on stuff here instead....I did manage to pick up two dinks, so it wasn't a skunk trip, but it wasn't a very relaxing trip either....lol

Man...sounds like it was windy all over!

I feel like I'm just whining about it, but I know I'd be hating life out there in it.

The reason I hate it so much is...

If it's blowing towards the bank, to keep the boat off the bank, I end up with the boat pointed away from the bank, and casting over my boat.

If it's blowing away from the bank, it's hard to stay close enough to the bank for the inevitable short casts...unless you want a bunch of backlashes....

That's when I wind up trolling LOL.

Whew....I think I've got all my complaining done for the day.

We've had lots of wind for about 10 days now comming right out of the north and keeping things VERY cold which shut down the fishing that was starting to heat up two weeks ago. Now it's shifting to the west/south west but strong storms today and tomorrow. Maybe by next weekend I can get the boat out for the first time this year. I got it ready yesterday!

When I was having a hard time keeping my boat off the bank I poured a boat anchor out of lead... Perfect weight and shape I was going for and that doesn't always happen lol
