Seems to be alot of College Football fans
Do you feel the month break before the bowl games has a positive or negative effect on the play during the game itself? Maybe the answer is no effect at all. As always, why and how?

Shurely it has an academic effect, thus the reason for college to begin with.
But most likly $ is the answer, games equal $ and time is now available to sell more products retaining to such,T shirts, flags, blankets, car items for tailgating. Scalpers then have a window so to speak much larger. |

Mule touched on what I was thinking about. While it may cause a negative effect on a team thats on a roll or a possitive effect on a team thats banged up and needs time to mend, the off period is also the time the student athletes are studying for and taking their finals, which is where their concentration should be right now. Games can wait.

I think that it lets players rest up a bit, and let coaches prepare for the team they're playing.. ultimately the best team, and the team that's prepared the best will win.

Always seems to me like everyone is a little rusty after the break. I'm sure it helps the schools make some extra money, lets the players focus on their academics, and lets them rest and heal up.
