Default A month and a day...

One month and one day ago, Kaye and I bid a painful farewell to Lucky, our beloved dog of 7+ years. Tonight was a much happier occasion as we adopted another rescue dog. This little gal, Cassie, is a 7-month old, 27 pound Rottweiler mix. We look forward to her being a big part of our lives on a daily basis for many years to come!

The smile on Kaye face says it all. Cassie is beautiful. I know she is going to have a great life and be spoiled rotten. Congrats on the new family member.

P.S. Debi loves this.

Yeah, we miss our first two (Mollie and Lucky) also, especially Lucky since we had him much longer and just lost him recently, but it is fun to have little Cassie to share our lives with now.

Here are some pics of her today after we made the 2 hour drive down to my parents' house in Iowa to celebrate Christmas with my family.

Yep, she sure does! Just the way we like it. Looking forward to seeing how she likes the cabin/lake/boat once April rolls around and another cabin season starts.

Love the pics of your new family member Dean! She looks very happy and content. Congrats my friend.
And John, maybe a boarder collie is what you need. Very smart and also small enough to cuddle in your lap. My pointer is a lap dog BIG time, and she weights 80 pounds! haha

Give her a " pat on her head " from me, Dean. She looks like a nice addition to the family.
