1997 Astro Re-carpet job
Well, while I've been waiting to to get the money together for engine rebuild (almost there!) I have been working on other things on the boat to keep me busy. Removing useless rear side bunks on the trailer and stripping the boat completely and recarpeting, redoing the uphostery, new hinges, adding a console/step (to the rear deck), adding a passenger rod organizer (Organizer and console designed and built by Bob's custom aftermarket retrofits, Inc.!). Below are a few pictures for your entertainment!
pardon the blueish tint, I had the boat under the tarp during th brighter days and it was still hot! and now that you see what she looked like completely naked I will show you how she looked once I dressed her in some new clothes! Pictures don't do it justice. It turned out really nice.

Wow, Bob. That looks awesome. If pictures don't do it justice, then it must be awe-inspiring in person.

I'm hoping to get it back from Florida before Oct 10-12. I have a two day business meeting at Guntersville State Park. I'm hoping to stay a couple of extra days and get me some fishing in!

For the bulk area I used the marine grade carpet glue they had at the carpet distributor for $25 a gal (I used 1 1/2 gals) and for the detail work like the doors and tight corners I used a quart of the contact cement for carpet (only way to go, that stuff is fantastic).

That dirty bird, Chris, is now the Tournament Director in the Bartow County Bass Club and the Christian Bass Anglers of Cartersville. He just sunk himself into debt for about 15 years on a 2008 Skeeter I-Class with a 250 HP Yamaha Series II motor. It was the demo boat for Jasper Marine (Jasper, GA). He blew up that 2.4 ltr Mod VP (Merc) on the Blazer and has to get that fixed to get rid of it. I will be coming over on a Sunday, so I will definitely holler at ya. The meeting is on a Monday and Tuesday. If all goes well, I was thinking of tacking on another couple of days (ya got an extra bedroom?).

it feels that way too. It is amazing how good a quality carpet feels. This is a 20 weight carpet and you can tell the difference. I have a couple of buds with Rangers and it appears to be the same kind that they use in the Z520.
