Stren Pure Flurocarbon?
Anyone have any experience with this specific flurocarbon? I'm not a big fan of F/c but I ran across it at Dick's Sporting Goods for less than $10 for a 200 yd spool, so I could not resist buying a couple. BPS has it for $15 for the same spool, so I got a good deal. Went on the reels pretty nicely, used some KVD line conditioner when spooling up a couple reels to try. Will get some use next week when I run back to the Potomac for a few days, but was wondering if anyone had any impressions of this particular line. Thanks.

Stren FC is notoriously fairly stiff. the general rule with fluoros is the stifferthe line, the more abrasion resistant it is (generally). Stren FC was the first fluoro I bought and I do think it is fairly stiff. I only use it as a leader now due to its good abrasion resistance. I never liked it as a mainline, but I was using a fairly heavy test. Let us know what test you got and how you like it.

That's good to know. I picked up some at Dicks for the same reason, $10 for a 200yd spool. Haven't spooled it up yet though. Let us know how well it works for ya
