curado e vrs curado g
Ok I bought a couple of reels that were supposed to be curado e series……got them and the turn out to be the g series. I like the way they feel. I know they’re not the e series but I want to give em a try. The only problem is the e series doesn’t have a titanium line guide like the e does. I worried this will be a problem because I only throw braid and I crank like 90% of the time. Can anyone give input on whether this will be a problem?

I can't find anything that says what the line guide is made of. My guess is that it's some type of ceramic, like what is used on rod guide rings. I think these days, it's assumed that a lot of people will be using braid with modern reels and they are built to handle it. I personally wouldn't think twice about it, I'm sure it's safe for braid but I can't say for 100% certain.

If if does not have the Ti line guide I would think that it would have the same line guide as the old Citica E, which was a SiC line guide. Either case braid is not going to damage it.
