I'll be sure to eat some deviled eggs, I'm sure it will make me the winner and I guarantee we won't be confined for long. hahahahaha BTW I got a good report at work this week that I might be moving back up by January.

IF we come, we'll be there thursday afternoon. and probably looking to bum a ride on someone's boat. I know this won't be a problem unless the number of non-boaters drastically increases.

Food wise, pretty much everybody chips in something. bring something to share.

Woody, definately bring some baked beans. I hardly had any last time. As for the thursday night meal, I definately think it should be at the lodge, or if we have enough campers, a crampground. Remember, not everyone will be there thrusday night, so I don't think we should do something too big.

Anthony, I would have to agree with having the meal and seminar at the Lodge. We can try to schedule it later in the evening, in hopes that all of the late arrivals can attend. Here's the thing, this would all depend on how late Mr. Headrick would be willing to do the seminar. He lives on the other side of the lake, in the town of Celina; so he would have a little bit of a drive back. Hopefully everyone can get there in time for Mr. Headrick's seminar. But just in case, I can ask him for permission to record his seminar for the ones that aren't able to attend. I don't have a video recorder, so if any of you would like the task of recording the seminar, it would be much appreciated.

I'm also thinking that for Thursday night we should just plan on having a simple meal at the lodge. How does hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill sound to everybody?

Mark, I would be wary of asking to record his presentation. I don't know about him in particular, but most people who do the lecture circuit, or speak professionally to any extent generally don't want their presentations recorded. I would hate to have him "hold back" some good information because he felt uncomfortable about it being passed around by means other than word of mouth.

I will volunteer to bring a big ol' bowl of potato salad for Thursday night. It might be a bit cumbersome to prepare it there rather than in my own kitchen, so I will just make it Wednesday night, and put it in a cooler for the drive. I wouldn't want to do that for food served any later than Thursday night.

Cool zook, that's a pretty nice rod too, I handled them at bass pro few months back!

I don't mind the marker BTW!

That's great, Zook! That rod retails for $130. Someone's gonna be very happy!

Nofear, you make a good point. The next time I speak to Mr. Headrick, I'll ask him where he stands of this idea, and go from there.

All right then, it looks like we're gonna be grill'n out Thursday night at the Lodge. Thanks Nofear, potato salad will go great with the burgers. Like I said, I'll be bringing the BBQ baked beans. Good, this is starting to come together!

So then, for Thursday night we will still need:

-Burgers and Hot-dogs or maybe Bratwurst
-Buns
-Condiments
-Paper Plates, Plastic Forks and Spoons, Napkins
-Charcoil, Lighter-Fluid
-Bring your own Beverage
-And whatever else you want to bring. Am I missing anything?

One question about the sat. night fish fry. Are we doing it in John and Lisa's kitchen like last year, or are we going to attempt it outside with the turkey friers?

OK..............HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I will ask lisa. But i already know her answer, DEPENDS! Depends on the weather, and all that stuff. Also depends on how many are gonna be there. Yea, Zooker had me rolling on the floor cause i was TRYING to be quiet. Lisa has her grandmother here till after Thanksgiving and she was in bed at the time. Lisa came in TWICE to tell me to hold it down. Haha!
But when we are all there and we see what is going on, i am sure we will figure it all out.Ain't had a falled one yet have we? The paln ALWAYS comes together, lmao.

Now i still haven't heard from Kevin. ARE YOU ATTENDING OR NOT MAN?! Come on now, everyone else has already made a semi-commitment. You said that oyu weren't gonna miss another one..........remember? lol.

And Zooker, i will tell her.........................later. Hahahahaha, boy are YOU gonna get it. LMAO!

Well there's your answer, John.

I can't imagine Kevin making the decision NOT to attend.

I know that it's still a bit too early for some to commit, which is completely understandable.

Kevin, you better let bama know if you're gonna be there before he has a heart attack, lol.

i snagged this from another forum.. but read it and take heed..

I love to hate this lake. It's beautiful country, It's frustrating to drive 4 hours down there to find out there isn't much going on except guys throwing live bait.

It is an easy place to get out of sort. Everything looks the same, and nothing noteworthy to mark your way. A map or GPS is highly advisable.

I "hear" the better smallie areas are south toward the dam, and the closer you get or go into Kentucky, you will find the better largemouth fishing. I would be prpared for jerkbait fishing, jigs, and float and fly. There's a gas station near Cedar Hill (One Stop?) that carries good amounts of gear, and most of the fishermen gather up there in the morning.

Eric

i am posting this so i don't get THAT phone call..which will be " umm dude where am i?? i aint sure if i am in the right creek.."

i hate to bring the fire and brimstone down on a forum member who failed to avoid this potentally hilarious situation..<-you hearin this sa4il?

cause me, i'll dail 911 and the coast guard out fer a search and rescue. and try not to lmao while shooting video of the whole thing...

Also, don't forget to bring a Sharpie marker with you, so that Mr. Headrick can point out some spots for you on your lake map.

Gimme some duct tape and super glue and they will never know. I have 3 small children, I know liability and ingenuity. I always give my wife that Chris Farley "Tommy Boy" look, "What did you do?" when her vase or some other pretty falls apart. I guarantee my work up to a month. That should cover a few visitors after us and leave the blame to who knows.

I'm pretty sure Louann and Daniel will be bringing something to share with everybody.

Well, seeing that we have a little time before having to do anymore planning. I thought this would be a good time to talk about what everyone had in mind about possibly holding a friendly fishing tournament during our get together.

Once we get this thing going, we are gonna need to appoint someone as the Tournament Director for this event. I would like for one of you to take on the responsibility of coordinating any tournaments. Let's see what we can come up with...

Yes you are, Zooker.

You know, I can't imagine anyone else better suited at being our Tournament Director.

Thanks for volunteering, comrade.
