Default Water pressure guage help

Ok, this might be a dumb question but here goes. Where does the tube from the guage go on a 1984 Johnson Gt 150? It had a water pressure guage in the other boat this motor was on but like everything else on it, it wasn't working. I thought that it would T off of the pisser line out of the head on the starboard side. But that can't be right because it doesn't have a T in that line on the motor. So back to the question at hand, Where do I hook the tube from the guage on the motor?

Any info. would be nice.

Thanks guys.......DJ

Most outboards have a bypass tube (black, 3/8" or 1/2" tubing) on the top of the block. I haven't seen a Johnson or an outboard that old, so you may have to look for it. Should be on top and if the tee isn't there already, you'll have to cut one in to connect the tubing to the gauge. Don't cut it into the pisser line, you won't have any pressure.

I haven't seen a T in any water lines on the motor at all. It makes no sense to me at all. This motor had a water pressure guage on the boat that it came off of but for the life of me I can't find where it was connected at the motor.
