2013 Bassmaster Champ OUT After Accident
2013 Bassmaster Classic Champion Cliff Pace broke his leg while climbing down from a deer tree stand Friday. Bassmaster Officials gave him a pass this year and will allow him to fish 2015 instead. Fair enough. Bassmaster.com has article.

It sounded like a nasty, nasty break too. I would be surprised if he fishes at all this year.

That's a tough break. Hope he mends well enough to be able to withstand all that's needed to fish again.

You've got to be kidding!
He broke his leg below his knee cap, above his knee cap, and also has a torn ACL. When I saw this on Facebook yesterday I told Britney that this is the kind of thing that can ruin a career. I sure hope for Cliff's sake he bounces back.

That's a terrible thing to happen for sure. Are they going to replace him this year with another contestant or reduce the field by one?

Yeah that's a tuff break, thought they were joking as well over 50 had knee replaced they cut it off and drive in ss inserts then a 1lb of titanium and tell you 10 wks later after removing 32 staples you can go back to work. The torn ligaments that late in life do not quite repair . So a year off I cannot relate to,stand up take the pain, get back to work like the average guy would have to in order to support the family. Its a bitter pill but that's life. Its also my own view but based on life.it is constantly changing and not always to our liking.
Would they give Denny a year off? Yeah I can be a hard asp . But also have the right to my own views.Would your workplace give you a year? |

5 weeks is a deadline he could not make 1 whole year off is all I heard or read,so must be inserting him for the next year classic berth, nice of them.
That said I can envision an old fart out there in a cast. Possibly just me no one else. |

It's not like he is missing 12 full months of work (if he misses the whole season). Their season is over by mid-August, so he is actually missing right around 6 months. I have no idea what you do for a living but chances are it's not as physically taxing as slamming around in rough water running 75MPH, two stepping all over the front deck of a boat while drop shotting on the Great Lakes, or running a trolling motor in 35 MPH winds.

C-rig does this mean the the catchers mitt is not being used?
I can remember George Brett missed a World Series game because of hemorrhoids.

I doubt I'd be back to work 10 weeks after something like that.
It'd be closer to a year!
