Default First time out today.

On vacation this week and got out for some bass fishing from shore. Nothing to get excited about and no pics, but caught four small males, all of my hard body Excaliber jerk bait I've talked about. I also tried a couple different lipless cranks, a crank bait, spinner bait and one of Bruce's swim jig, his version of the Chatter Bait. None of those caught anything. But the trusty jerk bait did. And I wasn't able to get to any of the better parts of the lake from shore. Looking forward to getting the boat out. Rain tonight and a cold front over night, but going as ASAP. The water is still so cold, none of the bass fought that hard, and they never jumped. You just felt their weight on the line and that's how you knew they were there. No real strike to feel. But it felt good after 5 months of not fishing!
