Murky, eh?
I would start out fishing a 1/2 oz. chartreuse Colorado bladed spinnerbait. The thumping of the blade, and the commotion will turn even the weariest bass on to it. 1/2 oz. is for a bigger profile, and chartreuse gives the bass something to look at.
If that doesn't work, throw a buzz bait in the early morning. The top water bite should be turned on by now. Early morning/late evening are the best times to get bass on top waters. Still not satisfied? Throw a power worm in a red color with glitter. The glitter gives a little more flash than the regular ole red. Motor oil is another good color, if available. On another rod, i would bring a Lipless crankbait. You've fished the top of the water column, now you want the deeper end of the deal. Throw a 1/2 oz. Strike King Red Eye Shad, a Cotton Cordell Super Spot, or a Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap in some kind of wounded shad pattern. Bring a deep diving crankbait. A Strike King or Rapala DT series. Something green, yellow, or red. |
