How to stick it to!
Well, a friend at work told me how some guys win their tournaments.
I would of never thought of doing this but is a good way to shut the other guys down for the day. Note this is prob. not for everyone, kinda dirty fishing. Well, here it is. When pre fishing the day or two before the tournament, you go and check you spots out to see if your fish are there. You don't fish you just check for the fish with your finder or sight. Next, you go to the spots where everyone else is going to fish. When you do this, you do all your prefishing. That means you tie on, what you think is going to work in your spots and stick them fish to learn the pattern. Not a big deal right, NO you just hooked the fish your rivals are going for and remember fish wont bite for a couple days. Do this everywhere your not going to fish and you can shut everyone down for the day. Leaving you with the hot spots. Note on really big lakes this might not work so well, but then again I was just told this is how a guy wins all the time. |

my cousin did that one time and the guys in that hole still finished 3rd. it can work but depending on what time of year it is and the area there can fill up with fish again. if im fishing a grass bed in a community hole on tournament day before i leave i run the outboard over it. thats about all i do.

i heard about this one time but i cant remember if it was FLW or BASS, but it was a really high up tourney, they drew their blast offs before prefishin and one guy got like 100.... and it was sight fishin, so he went around sore mouthin all the fish he could find, and he admitted to it........he was just tryin to make it harder
thats why they draw for blast off after practice now, right before the tournament

Had a guy in school get caught stakin" in a local tourney. Word travels quick and far about BS like that. After that he was pretty much a laughing stock at any tourney he tried to enter in the south part of the state. Some people have no conscience.
