April 3rd Report
You ever have one of those days where things go wrong in triples.. Today was one of those days. Some bait died and clogged the pump killing 2/3 of my bait last night.
Flat tire on trailer and later after putting a plug in it where the hole was, it blows out a sidewall just before getting home. New tire is on the way. So I get to the marina only 15 minutes early and this big boat with dual 300's on back has the name Dark Star. Mine is CO Star so maybe things will get better. Head up river dodging lots of big logs the whole way up. And dang me, we caught some nice crappie. Kept only 24 and left them snapping. Turned out to be a nice day. Capt Mike

Beautiful crappies. I remember when I was a kid my dad and I fished for them. We killed them on Lake Erie shinners. They wouldn't touch regular minnows but the shinners were like filet mignon to them.
