Yamamoto double tail H-Grub
Bought a pack of these the other day but don’t really know how to rig them up properly. Anyone with any tips and or photos of one rigged would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Wow thanks for the fast reply! That is what I figured and tried; I was hoping someone would have a photo showing this. I rigged it up and tried it for a while, didn't seem to have any luck and I wasn't sure how to use it properly so I took it back off.

If its T-rigged, then its working properly, there really isnt much way to improperly use a lure, just keep at it!

kingman, try this link and scross down to the section on using a hook, its just like any other plastic, use a bigger hook for bigger profile bodies.

They also work well as a jig trailer. You could also rig it on a long-shank jighead used for the shakey head rig.

Kingster,
If you find success with a double-tailer and want to stock up, be aware that ZOOM makes one that is excellent and costs WAY less than those made by Yamamoto (Plus, he's never apologized for bombing Pearl Harbor!) His stuff is excellent, though less durable in most cases, so if you decide to dance with whomever brought you to the dance, no problem. FR |
