God loves stupid people
I heard this story yesterday before it hit the local news, and almost did not believe it.
""EL DORADO — An El Dorado man has been rescued from the Ouachita River more than 20 hours after he disappeared and about 20 miles downstream from where his car was found. Union County authorities say 58-year-old Donald Wayne Jones was found about 6 p.m. Monday. Deputy Bill Hickman told the El Dorado News-Times that Jones was found clinging to a branch in River Bend Cove near Moro Bay. Hickman said Jones is hospitalized in unknown condition and that it wasn’t known yet why he entered the river. Jones was last seen about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at a church service in El Dorado. His abandoned car was found near the river Monday morning with clothing and other personal items nearby."" The story I was told is the man was suicidal, he jumped in the river at the tailwater of the callion dam (anyone farmiliar with Arkansas, knows that right now the river is not a place you want to be, flooding, current, whole trees coming down river.) and managed to survive a 20 mile float/swim. If it had been someone wanting to live and fell in, they would have drowned before they got out of the dam tailwater. |

If he was, I hope he realizes he has a purpose now.

God doesn't give to many people second chances like that.
