check your troller
with the spawn coming on and every one focusing on shallow water. be sure to check your troller for line.. nothing kills a troller faster then some line wrapped round the prop shaft.
yeah i got in to some today... zooker

I had that happen last summer and it killed the TM, melted the brush housing. I rebuilt it and it works fine again but it is important to check as often as possible. Also on your outboard prop shaft.

Another thing is to be sure to contain any line you pull off your spool. I know some guys change on the lake, and it doesn't take much for it to get blown out of the boat and ruin another fisherman's day.

i was puttin thru a no wake zone with the big moter. i hit a ball of big braid stalling the moter.. i spent and hour with a leatherman tool and a set of needle nose choppin it out.. the very next day i bought a set of 6'' wire clippers which stay in the boat..

I ran over some idiot's home-made marker buoy, and luckily I realized it before I pulled the weight all the way up to the prop. My motor stumbled a little...and I quickly shut it off. Used the TM to get to the shore, hopped out, and cleaned it out. a big "whew" moment.
P.S. Next time, idiot...use less buoyant rope. The buoy is supposed to be directly over the weight....not 40 feet out to the side.
