Hollow frogs are not the same.
Alternate title I am a dummy! I bought two small hollow frogs at Walmart. Their brand. Following the advice I received here I was bending the hooks out away from the body a little bit. Broke one of the hooks off. I guess it was too hard to bend.

To bend or not to bend-I dont bend-see no need failure to hook is often in the hook set-point where it went direction reel up then set hook like 1,2 3 count for floaters, not the same with horny toads ribbets those treat like a buzzbait
If you notice frog is soft body bends to below the hook point when grabbed, timing is all that matters much and if they actually take it sometimes they dont. |

I don't bend my hooks. Seems like when I do I always catch junk on them. I've nener really had any problems on hook ups with any brand hollow body frog. Wally world will give you your money back for the broken frog.
