Default Quick Charge Battery Chargers

I recently bought a new trolling motor from Walmart. I also bought a battery charger for it as well. When I went to charge the motor, I noticed that it charged it real fast and that I got a Quick Charge battery charger. I was wondering what effect this will have on the life of my battery. Will it shorten it? Or does it even matter? I am curious and dont want to have to buy another battery in a month, so any insight would be great.

Hope everyone had a good weekend on the water. I caught my first hog bank fishing! 5 lbs 9 oz........on a hulla grub texas rigged. Damn I love fishing.

The quick charger is a great tool and if you plug it in as soon as get home from fishing your battery will last years.

It does no damage to your battery if it automatically steps down once charged.

we just pull up to the marina slip that we rent for our week at KY lake and let the charger do its job..
Capt Mike, do you stay at one marina and advertise, as a way for clients to meet ya and have the boat all ready?

Thanks. You all are great! I love this website. Everyone is so helpful and it has changed my approach to fishing. I have gone out and bought some stuff that I see recommended on here and it usually works out.

No I am a gypsy guide and follow the fish from Marina to marina.. The boat sits on a trailer with string tied to it and my toe at night.. New security design..

The way I work it is I set the meeting place when we decide the date, get a deposit and finalize the meeting place the week before there trip.
Most of the time it is simple.
March thru April Fort Washington
April thru June ish Smallwood Park
June ish through Sept Slavins
Sept thru Dec anywhere you want to go that I know...
I also do some Bay trips for flyrod striper and LTJ..
Oh and CBBT and Nags Head and some lower VA rivers too.

Like I said a gypsy guide..
