Ranger 481v
Guys, I think I will be okay but since Im in college I cant use my dads f250 to pull my boat, so instead i have to pull it with my 93 toyota four-runner. Its a v6 4wd and its got about 150000 miles on it. Yall think I will be okay using it to pull my 18ft Ranger 481v? Some trips could be up to 5hrs long.

Yep you will be fine like gone said. A 1993 4Runner had a 3,500-pound maximum towing capacity. A 1990 481v Ranger equipped with a 175hp engine weighs 1250lbs. Your trailer probably weighs around 400-500lbs and even if all of your gear weighs 250lbs you would still be 1500lbs below your vehicle max.
Have a great weekend...

Don't forget the motor, fuel, batteries, anchor, oil, etc.You might be closer to the 3,500 than you think.

The weight did include a motor although I did not calculate fuel like ole Miss pointed out. 46 gallons of fuel will weigh 368 lbs, lil oil, 3 batteries, etc so to be safe just figure 700 lbs in fuel and gear. You still would have 700 lbs + or - left and should be just fine.
I'm in Greensboro, 3 hours west of Greenville.

Oh man, that's my ol' truck. Just make sure you remember to click that little ol' overdrive button off on the shifter. Good luck, I retired mine(it's still running) when it hit 265k.

Keep the tire pressure on the boat trailer a little higher than normal and it'll tow easier.

I love it, it will get me in and get me out of just about anywhere, couldnt ask for a better vehicle. Handlebars, man I am from Waxhaw, just below Charlotte, will be home this weekend to do some fishin and get my boat. I do a lot of fishing on Tillery, so kinda close to you. Crazy how small the world can seem sometimes.
