I have some color-changing worms & "senkos", They do not make a drastic color shift, but more of a shift of shading depending upon how much ultra-violet light they receive. The color change is noticable when moving from shade to sunlight. I even sent a few to 'Bama a couple years ago to test in southern water (the technology isn't new, as least for soft plastic baits) but haven't heard if he was successful using them. In my use I can't say the fish like them anymore than a regular piece of plastic. The technology mentioned in the link appears to offer a more drastic color shift.

I like the colors. Never did color change plastics.

I am going to be very interested in how these baits do. Very interesting concept to be sure.

They'll catch fish because all lures catch fish. But it seems gimmicky, a way to try and grab a market niche by means other than just introducing another line of baits.
I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for lures with non-changing colors to disappear because they went obsolete due to the color-changers. LOL

It's interrest, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Yeah, they will catch fish and they will get recognized for that. But I doubt that they will catch any more than a conventional bait. I think putting the proper bait with the proper action, in the proper strike zone, is still whats going to catch fish. Not color changing. But lets see what transpires over the next few years.
