BPS Bargin Spinning Rod?
Anyone tried this Graphite Series Spinning Rod from Bass Pro Shops?
I think the spinning rod is new to that line this year? Normally it's 39.99 and I saw it on sale for 29.99 back around Thanksgiving. I've been kicking myself for not buying a couple. Maybe it's just a personal preference in weight, strength and stiffness - but it felt really nice in my hand.

I prefer aluminum in a reel. but depending on the use it might be fine. I like the old ABU Cardinal reels for a low price reel.

This rod doesn't have the dreaded hump. I can't stand those things either.
It also has a full cork handle which I prefer to the split grip.

Iowa, you are correct-that model does not have the hump. Why BPS does not make more models without the hump is beyond me since so many people seem to dislike it.
Anyway, to get back on topic-go for it and enjoy the rod(s)!

A scrap of fine sand paper makes short work of that cork hump.

Hate the hump handle on St Croix Avids. Are the rods one or two piece? I am thinking of getting a two piece to leave in the truck.
