Pre-season predictions
Well all, just wanted to see what the general feeling was on the NFL for this season. My heart still belongs to the Redskins, but I believe the Chargers have the team to do it this year. That may be because I now live here, but I like what I have seen at the practice fields.

Unfortunately for my Raiders, the Chargers are the team to beat. Their offense revolves soley around LT (Similar to Philly---> westbrook) but their Defense is just scary. Merriroids, Jammer, Cromartie, Olshaknsky ect.
However LT is getting old and Philip Rivers is a garbage QB. That said, the titans will be very good this year and I am expecting the Jets to surprise some people. And of course the Raiders will go atleast 8-8

8-8 for the raiders???
I wish you well on that and more importantly I hope you do not work for a company that requires random drug screening. I believe you may be on something to think 8-8 Although, the whole division did not get too bad of a schedule this year. It could happen

I predict we will hear way too much about Favre.
The Jets actually released a statement about Favre having to run a single lap because he fumbled a snap during practice. That is just sad. Last edited by Fishnngolfn; 08-12-08 at 12:46 PM. |

The Pats are going to be strong again...they've still got a wicked good offense and their defense is finally younger. Hopefully all of the scandals are in the past and the game will just go on normally, although last year they proved they can obviously play well without any cameras at all.
The Colts will be up there again as long as Peyton doesn't run out of tissues. However, I also think that the Chargers will win it all, they are overall the best balanced team. |

Sure Cranky, I will put up a bag of Senkos on that. I think 8-8 is a little too optimistic for that team.

You're on, then. Hey, if John Clayton predicts 7-9, i don't think me going with 8-8 is a stretch.
Hopefully by some miracle the Chargers do not win the superbowl... it would wreck my whole "The raiders have been to the superbowl more recently than the chargers" arguement. But, we still win the superbowl contest 3-0 as of now Anyone hear anything about how LT's knee is coming along? bama, your fins had a nice offseason... how's the QB battle going?

I think it will be interesting to see how the Giants play this year and I'm hoping for the patriots to have a horrible season kinda sick of seeing them at the top . If the 49ers could hit 7-9 or close i'll be happy

Not a fan of the raiders at all. Not because of the charges, but more because of my Redskins. Your team beat mine in one of them thee Suberbowls.....

Well, it isn't like you said you were a Lauerence Taylor fan who has pictures of the Theisman hit as your wall paper.
