It really does! I wish it would get back to where it was then. As long as we continue with meeting here, maybe we can get it back to like it was. But we need to open to new members.

Non members can read but cannot partake. And Kevin shut down new memberships a couple years ago due to some serious issues with bots flooding the memberships. It's time to try reopening memberships again.

A non-member would be able to join a discussion if an existing user name and password was available for them to use? Actually, couldn't multiple people use the same user name and password (not at the same time)?

5-16-07 was my join date. Getting close to 8 years on here, but I don't think I should count the last 2 or so....

Probably 1999, 98 something like that. It was just a regular board then, no registration or anything.

OE great idea!

And you can be on at the same time.
I use multiple browsers and have logged on with two different browsers at the same time.

I easily get confused and have to go to another browser to keep my replies straight.

Summer '06 is when I found the site. Been gone for a little while but wanted to check in to see what was going on.

I just thought if someone had a username/password that was specific to this site and didn't need it to be protected, that name/password could be posted on one of the boards and unregistered users could join in and add their 2 cents worth. Maybe it could be an honorary name/password... does anyone know what password the infamous "Zooker" used?

I know you'd like to grow the membership, but I don't know if recycling names and passwords is the way to do it.
Not my call, just an opinion.
I joined whenever my date says ... I can't see it until I post this.

I don't believe it would suddenly "grow the membership", but it might provide a "non-member" with an avenue to ask an interesting question or provide a perspective different than the half dozen of us semi-active members are providing now. It was only a suggestion and, for the record, I would not offer my own user name/password as I use the same in other sites.

Is there a way to get the passwords for inactive members, to give their names away? If you have a member name that hasn't been used for years, what you suggest might work ... if you can get the password.

June 2004. I first met Kevin when he was in 8th grade. He worked as an usher at the parish we belonged to for Confirmation service hours. We hit it off when he saw the B.A.S.S. sticker on my truck. I realized I knew his dad when he was the band teacher at my junior high school. He started the site soon after and after all these years is just a spectre...
