If I broke a rule...
If I broke a rule...I AM SORRY. Please, don't feel obligated, pressured, or otherwise coerced ( ) into helping if you don't want to.
With that said, this year I am participating in Relay for Life in Taney County Missouri (where I work). I am fundraising in honor of my mother who fought and WON against breast cancer in 2010/2011 and for the other friends and family members that I know personally who have lost their brave fight. With that said, I would appreciate any contributions or assistance that you might be able to to help with. If interested, please use the link below (it is directly to American Cancer Society). Also, please take the opportunity to share a few words about a friend or family member that you know that has had cancer. http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr_id=52297&pg=personal&px=31857748 I told you about my mother...she is still here with us and doing very well. Don't think that just because somebody "beat cancer" that it didn't take part of them in the process. The intense chemotherapy my mother had to undergo has robbed her of her ability to process information quickly and remember things well, her stamina still hasn't (and won't) come back and she lives in FEAR until the next six month appointment to be told if the cancer has returned. CANCER is truly deadly...but quite often the toll on those that survive is just as bad. John "MO"

as soon as i can, i will gladly make a contribution. you'll just have to remind me ok? lol. give me a few weeks, my first check will be a month away. they only pay every 2 weeks.

I lost my grandmother to breast cancer about 7 years ago. I would be proud to help you raise money to fight this terrible disease.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Cancer doesn't discriminate...it takes the young and the not so spry as well. It takes many good years from great people. I appreciate you helping me out.

Greetings anglers!
Be it after April 15th, I can finally emerge from my late winter/early spring (working) slumber and maybe be around the forums a little more. I appreciated the kind words and acceptance this thread received the first time I ran it through. It really means alot to me as cancer has affected my family so much. With this said, I am a little short on my goal that has to be completed by next week. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. If so please utilize the secure link above. |

Hi everyone! Our Relay for Life event is this coming Friday 6/4. I'm happy to report that we surpassed our original goal of $1,000 and are currently working on our revised goal of $2,000. We are currently at $1,850.
I'm confident that we can make our revised goal but there is still time for you to help if you would like! Thanks everyone for your generosity. http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr...al&px=31857748 John
