Suzuki 175 oil injected?
Ok, now that I have had this motor looked at by a friend of mine. I was told that 5 cyclinders are holding go compression and the other has a burned up piston. My question is, is it worth getting fixed? I would think it would have to have all cyclinders bored to fix it right (just my thoughts, could be wrong). Or a new powerhead. Any idea has to what it would cost to have it bored or to replace the powerhead? This brings me back to my original question, is it worth fixing?
Thanks for all your input guys. I know nothing about these motors. DJ |

It can be done but DO NOT recommend it. Cost is around 4500 + to do a complete rebuild on a suzuki.

Zooker I was thinking about selling it but didn't know what to ask for it. Like I said before I know nothing about a Suzuiki.

Not sure if it's a four stroke or not. It's a 1988 Suzuki model-DT175CLJ if that tells you anything

I don't think it is the only thing it says on the cover is Suzuiki 175 Oil Injected and on the back of the cover, IC Ignition. Any idea what it may be worth? I don't intend on getting it fixed or using it, I think I will stick to my Johnson.

That motor would be the big brother to the ole susuki super 6. Its a 2 stroke. I would either list it on ebay or local listings possibly. I am sure someone will bite even though there is not much call for those anymore.
