Newb Here in Mass
Figured I would say hello to all in my first post. I havne't been fresh water fishing in a very long time, but just recently I've gotten hooked on Bass fishing. Caught a nice 4# largemouth the other day in a local river/pond. After that I went out a got a nice Coleman Bass Classic 10 boat with an electric motor.
I hope to try out the boat today and venture out to some other local lakes and ponds. I have mostly been using Texas Rigged worms and have gotten some good luck. This site is extremly helpfull and I enjoy reading all of the tips and comments. Thanks again and hello to all! |

Haha, well it looks as though your baitmonkey was just waiting the day till you came to the bass side. Be cautious as he will drain your pockets and fill your tackle boxes faster than you can say, well I have nothing clever to put there. Anyways welcome aboard and make yourself at home.

Thanks for the welcome!
I have taken the boat out a few times in the past few days and it has been great! I have caught several bass the past few days of decent size. Yesterday I caught a beauty put up a great fight, coming out of the water twice. It was quite a fish; my guess would have been over 5 pounds. Got him to the side of the boat when my friend went to pull him in and the line broke before we could get him in the boat. Saw him but didn’t land him in the boat! Probably the biggest freshwater bass I have ever caught. Even the wife came out the other day and caught a nice bass! Thanks for all the helpful info here on the site. I am new to bass fishing like this and have been having a great time! Hopefully I’ll get up some pictures soon! |
