I used to fish there a lot make sure you have flukes as well. try a double fluke rig. get a small split ring(smaller than the eye of the hook) put on the line and the tie the hook below the split ring. from the split ring tie 6-8" length of line and another hook has a good look in the water takes some time getting used to casting but a very good rig. A chrome blue back bandit 100 also.

I am giving a thumbs up to the plan Cranky.
Now comes the best part. The cell number swap and menu. I am cooking for ten so I am cooking chicken and hot sausage links. I have a case of gatoraide and a case of water. I have a large cooler to chill them down in and about 10 assorted bags of soft baits to hand out. I will arrive at Red Roof about 9pm ish and my cell is 202 439 1410. Oh and yes you must display your license in PA. This is going to be a fun weekend. Capt Mike

1. Crankybait and wish2bfishing in one boat. Assuming that's OK
2. Dave and Capt Mike in another boat. 3. Basstom and ? 4. BassMoJo and partner So far it is not a bad turn out. I think two of my local Harrisburg friends may join us two. Capt Mike

Average depth? Hmm that is good one.... I am guessing about 5 feet to 8 feet on channels and 2 to 3 on points. I will check the flow meters at Harrisburg to find more info. Capt Mike P.S> And your welcome on the tips.

Dang I had another boat from a local showing up but he cancelled as well. But he said he would make the food cooking at 2pm on Saturday..
Some times... Three boats and six people is still a good time. Dave and I are driving up Friday evening and should arrive around 10 pm at hotel. Launch at 7am at Swatara Creek Ramp. Try to make it a bit early as I got some tubes and swag for you all. I will be easy to spot as I have a black suburban with Indian Head Charters signs on it. If you want shoot the bull a bit before my bedtime call me at 202 439 1410. Capt Mike

Last night I was 13 years old (20 years according to the wife....but that is another story) as I tossed and turned. I could see the water rolling around the rocks and the big pig of a smallie nailing my bait. I just could not sleep last night thinking of fishing waters I have not fished in 7 years. I have butterfly's and it takes me back to when I was a kid and I knew I would fish new waters in the early morning.
I am jazzed... Capt Mike
