The secret is the two shot aim. Slam two shots of jack, then aim for the ball in the middle.

To earn some (booze) money, try my patented "Hose your drunk friends" bet. Freeze two balls side by side against the short rail, right in the middle. Put another ball on top of them, balanced on them and the rail, making kind of a pyramid (it might take a minute or two to get that top ball to stay without the other two rolling). Set the cue ball in its regular spot, like you're about to break. Now, bet your friends $50 each that you can hit the top ball with the cue ball, never touching the other two at all.
After they've laughed and put their money up, line up your shot veeeery carefully. Really ham it up: get a look of complete concentration, re-chalk a couple of times, stick your tongue out, take some deep breaths, etc. Then, just tap the cue ball so that it slowly rolls towards the pyramid. While it's ambling along, slap the underside of the table with your palm. This vibration will make the top ball push the two bottom balls out of the way, and it'll fall onto the table surface, and roll in pretty much a straight line out to meet the cue ball.
Grab the money off the table and RUN.

I done that one many of times...I use too play in leagues alot,I was a huge fan of one-pocket and nine ball...

Another good money hustle is to place a single ball on top of a 20 dollar bill and bet the person you can knock the twenty dollar bill out and the ball will not move...When they bite....roll up the twenty dollar bill into a tight tube..balance the ball on top and let the dollar expand a bit for a good balance...shot the cue ball through knocking the dollar out and the ball falls striaght down in the same place.

I once defeated a hustle on me..If you play alot of billiards,then you should know that stupid bet where the hustler tells you to line up a ball in front of every pocket.Then tells you if you can clear the entire table taking as many ball-in-hands as you need you win..Of course you do this and the cue-ball is left on the table and thats how you loss.
Some dumb-**** tried this on me..I some friends around and felt cocky,so when he said ''I'll bet you $20 you cant''...I said ''lets make it $60''
He laughed thinking I was an idiot.
After I shot all the balls in the pocket I picked up the cue-ball off the table and told him he owed me $60 bucks....When there aint no balls in play its completely legal to pick up a cue-ball off the table.
He ending up not paying me and getting mouthy....We exchange some colorful sentences but I felt pretty good about that one.

Well, unfortunately, the other team didn't suck. Turns out they were one of the top teams in the league.
I was so rusty someone tried to sand blast me.
