If you are gonna start adding people, you are gonna start adding expenses. Sorry, thats the way it is.
I still think a kayak is the best option, canoe/jon boat being second. You dont need a bass boat, you dont need tons of tackle storage. A kayak will make you learn to appreciate stealth and also teach you how to read water and pattern fish without feeling the need to change lures every 15 casts. It teaches patience and technique, which are more important than tackle storage and trolling motors.
