Cold water 'gills?
The northern end of my local pond is no longer frozen over and I hope to try some fishing there. Â*I saw a lot of swirls in the water, simaliar to a basses trail but smaller. Â*Bluegill perhaps? Â*They were moving around pertty fast. Â*What is a good choice for gills in the cold? Tubes, grubs, Crickets(not a whole lot af them around right now)? Â*I tried a few little Panther Martins with no luck. Â*The water is very muddy right now.
Thank-you. |

Re: Cold water 'gills?
refer to the crappie post, The reply I used has also been successful on big "gills" in cold water. For small tubes you just can't beat white, I also have had good success with black and blue combined. I have just recently started using these panfish assassins under a slipfloat, they work pretty well too especially in chartreuse. hope this helps, just gotta fish em slow in the cold!

Re: Cold water 'gills?
Hey, bluegill are bass too!
But, keep 'em off this site ...or, go to the new (non-bassin) related room, available at the bottom of your screen in the "Kevin's Bass Fishing Messeage Boards" section of this site (thank you for your cooperation) seaphantom |

Re: Cold water 'gills?
I have had good luck catching big bluegills by tying a little rapala and a fly on my line... I tie the fly 1-2 feet in front of the rapala. I cast and then twich the bait real in some twitch the bait... its not uncommon to catch doubles...

seaphantom,
did you go around looking for posts that have nothing to do with bass? If I'm not mistaken, this was the oldest post on the site until you just posted on it. |

talkin to him is like talkin to a stone.neither of them has any intelligence. [/quote] Intelligence... heh. Tom, I dont see your intelligence here, when you try to insult me. You're simply a very bored man, who hasn't anything else to do, but get excited about starting another insultive arguement. Skeeter and Tom, why are you trying to bring yourselves on a low position (which makes both of you much less intelligent than me at the moment) by typing ruthless things? I can speak 3 languages, I've learned English in less than four months, I am an honor straight A student, I am writing a book, im in exellent athletic form, I play Alto Saxophone and I am a drummer in my own band. Im a beginning acoustic guitarrist. I am an advanced actor. I came from another country, and Â*succeeded in all of those in 4 years. now, could you think of a 14 year old kid that has met those standards? like I said, not much of your intelligence is shown, when you try to put down somebody over the internet, it's only typing, right? you might be a professional angler Tom, but dont try to put yourself above me because of that. You dont know me. And umm, "them"??? I am not part of "them" I am "Me". Intelligence is not something you can consider a "weapon" against me, because u are clueless... seaphantom |

Tom, racists like you shouldnt be in my sight...
...you are really out of your mind, arent you? All you have to do, is sit there, shove a couple of your mommy's burgers down your pipe, sit your fat *** back, relax, and type... right? you would have been history, if you met some Russian lads, and said that out loud right in front of them in person. Careful, Tommy, people like you get their faces broken after saying something like that. ...another thing that keeps me on a higher level than you, ur a racist, I am not seaphantom |
