Best fluorocarbon?
I would like to try Suffix and BPS but can't get them at my local dick's sporting goods so: what they do have there is Spiderwire ultracast 100% fluorocarbon they have Trilene 100% fluorocarbon and I think P-line fluoro or Sauger or something . So which one of those would you guys pick and what brand do you guys use most of the time?

Seaguar fluorocarbon has worked the best for me a cheap alternative is the Pline Fluorocarbon its about half the price. Hope that helps Stay away from the Stren and the Berkley in my opinion its like throwing money out the window

Big,
For me, I exlusively use the seaguar invizix. I feel that it is the most manageable fluoro that I have used. I have tried all of the others you have listed with the exception of BPS, and Seaguar is my personal choice.

I used Seaguar InvizX for a long time and it is a great line. However I went to Seaguar AbrazX when it came out and haven't looked back. AbrazX in my opinion is just as manageable as InvizX but it is a lot more abrasion resistant. Whichever line you choose I would recommend it be made by Seaguar.

I was/still am a little a BPS guy (both spinning and casting). But, I tried InvizX last year and all new FC that I use will be the Seaguar InvizX. I may try the AbrazX if I run out of my current stock.

Invizx again! The Cabela's house brand is a pretty close copy of it for the budget minded.

Try Vicious. They sell it at Wally-world, but don't hold that against it. It works great for me.

I, too, use Seaguar InvizX. I have it on 4-5 of my set-ups. I have never tried AbrazX because I haven't ever seen the need to try it on the lake where I do 95% of my fishing.

I am currently giving the BPS XPS flouro a fair shake. So far so good on line memory. I will let you know about the other performance features after my week long trip to KY lake next week.

Are y'all buying 200 yds spool? I need more affordable flouro. I tend to switch baits alot and use a dozen rigs.

I made the switch to 1000 yard spools last year. The 200 yard spools were adding up too quickly

Keep in mind that flourocarbon will generally last longer than mono, so it helps offset the cost. I respool mono almost monthly but I only respool flouro when my reels are getting low because it just doesn't seem to go bad (it can develop line memory if it sits without being used for long periods of time though). Also you can use backing on your reels to save some more money. I personally don't use backing but I know a lot of guys do.

I tend to use about 50yrds of Berkley Big game as backer and then about 100 yrds of Flouro. So a 200yrd spool does two reels. Otherwise you do a whole reel and have a whoppin 50 yrds of useless flouro. I would do the 1000 yrd setup, but use too many different weight lines. I like 10lb for cranking, 15-17lb for jigs, and 12lb for plastics.

If I used the same line for all my rigs, I'd buy a 1000yd spool, but I use too much different line. I also use backing, so I can get a couple reels out of a 200yd spool. I leave maybe 20-25 yds on the spool after filling my reels to use has leaders for braid.

Dose anyone use braid and just floro for leaders? The feel of braid is so good you have to train yourself to let the bite happen for a but before you slam the hook set!

Yeah I will probably buy the 200 yard spools cause I do not have the money and I use a few different line sizes.
