I made a typo in my submission of my fish. My fish weighed 9.50 or 9lbs 8oz. not 9lb 5oz. this makes my percentage 68% not 64%.

Oh my! The only way C-rigs percentage could have been 64% was if the fish weighed 8-lb 14-oz. Even calculated at 9-lb 5-oz the percentage would have been .67%.
And poor little boss struggling with fundamental math....where did 5-lb 7-oz come from? your scale indicates the % should be 50.8% (91/179= 50.8%)

I've been busy lately trying to catch my own entry and haven't had the time or felt the need to closely examine the #'s......................Jrob-1/4 stick???

Lets not forget the .98 bama bass I entered or the tn 1.68 lol and going back to bama this weekend,if I get a keeper will break my own record as raised the length limit to 15 in on pickwick

The pic of the scale is there....just a simple typo. No indiscretion or malcontent.

I wasn't trying to impune the credibility of your entry or your math skills.......there is only one way to arrive at 152 ounces. I only know that if I was looking at an entry of mine that would have put me in 1st place I'd have probably noticed.

Re: boss........the last thing I remember was that he had chosen to spend his twenty dollars on a local ballgame rather than compete with the big boys on the national stage

It's all good........just a casual observation of the general sloppiness in these contests that is the reason many many more members chose not to play (or so I've been told off the record)

My only input is that, that is what the judges are for to keep the 'sloppiness' to a minimal.
As with any tourney or contest, the contestants compete and the judges keep us in line.

I am so sorry for my sloppiness, I assure you from now on I will take more time to proof read my entries. I really hate that a some typo that was made on minimal sleep after a long weekend would keep so many members from participating in this contest. I didn't notice my typo at first but I knew I took the lead. When I saw the graph with me in second I knew something was wrong but wasn't sure what, so I went back to my text messages where Jrob and I double checked my math and realized the fish was 68% not 64%. I am glad that YOU would have caught it had it been you. Obviously I can't make the same claim. I never claimed that you, Joe, or anyone else should be responsible for double checking anyones math. I caught my mistake myself, had I not caught it I would have nobody to blame but myself.

Any Competitor will and does make mistakes.
Those who wish not to compete can blame it on anything they want. Fact is...they aren't true competitors anyway.
I've seen mistakes or things 'I' may have considered a mistake in almost every competition I've been involved in and that is exactly why I thought Ken made a good decision on having judges.
I unfortunately feel that a mistake is just that, a simple mistake.
I'm competing with 'humans' who may or may not make mistakes. Frankly that is part of the fun.
If mistakes aren't expected or tolerated....I might as well drop out now.
Frankly, I love too see someone who is 'afraid' to enter get the winning fish. They can 'blame it' on whatever they want but the real reason is FEAR or lack of belief in THEMSELVES!
Simple as that!

I'm sorry, Joe, but I don't think the fact that I chose not to participate in this contest makes me any less of a "true competitor" than anyone else. And being "'afraid'" of something had nothing to do with me not participating either. Just like Sam, I have chosen to "spend my $20" elsewhere, but for different reasons than he had. I hope all the entrants in this contest have a great time with it and enjoy it.

I hope I catch "the winning fish" also, and I won't lose a second of sleep or have a single second thought over not being in this contest if I do.

Guys, take it easy. Kory made a simple mistake. He and I went over his numbers before he ever made his entry. I should have paid closer attention to what he and Sammy posted. I've been crazy busy at work and my home computer died. That's no excuse though.

C-rig is in the lead with 68%
Bluebasser is second with 67%
bassboss is in third with 51%

I've already asked once for y'all to keep this thread free of chatter, please do so. If someone has a question or problem, pm me.

I promise I will do a much better job of monitoring what's going on here, including double checking everyone's math. I apologize for my absence. Again, if someone has a problem with anything, now or in the future, pm me!

smallmouth 2.08 Div 40 ABA out of Port road Ky lake.Tn entry.
In oct will post south carolina and georgia entries-regardless of weight
While not much weight have posted ky,tn,miss and bama 1.68,2.08,.96,.98 should be good for a chuckle anyway
All taken from aba T info and while had heavier fish at times single fish not always weighed if not near big fish weight,those latter under a pd came from having but 1 scrawny keeper-lol better than a blank.
Side note fished 6 T last one a 2 day weighed fish every time,every day.

These are my figures

11lbs. 3oz =180.8 ozs. (180)

6lbs. 41oz = 102.56 (102 or 103)

102.56 divided by 180.8 equals .567566

So 56 or 57 percent.....right?
or

100 divided by 179 equals .5586592

So 55 or 56 percent

Hey Joe, nice fish! This is what I'm getting.

11lbs 3oz = 179oz

6lbs 4oz = 100oz

100 divided by 179 = .5586592 or 56%

11x16=176 +3oz=179

I'm not sure how you're getting 180.8

As far as your fish, it says 6.41. If that's 6lbs 4.1 oz, you've got 100.1oz.
6x16=96 +4.1oz is 100.1oz

100.1 divided by 179 = 56%

The only other way this could be different is if your scale reads 6.41 lbs. In this case, .41of a pound is 6.56oz. so 96+6.56=102.56.

102.56 divided by 179 = 57%.

I'm not sure how your scale reads but you're either at 56% or 57%. Either way, nice fish, way to go!! You are firmly in 3rd place.
