Water temps dropped 20 degrees and we decided to flip and punch the pads and we did OK. 4 good hits and one fish landed before Golden Hour. Boy what a gorgeous sunset it was. No topwater hits as the sun set and a cool crisp fall evening arrived.
Capt Mike What's the worst water as far as fishing conditions? Cold, muddy and high. Yep, that is what we had. When someone tells me they want to bring their kids or grand kids snakehead fishing, I need to be prepared for a "different" type of afternoon of fishing. Not these grand kids. At 14 and 16, AJ and John were as good a casters as most older fisherman. The kids were good. It didn't help the fishing but, it wasn't for poor casting. John and his two grand sons were a pleasure to have aboard. I'll see John and his son next weekend, hopefully under better water conditions. ![]() ![]() ![]() Capt Dave
