we see many more pros that are best at shallow water. shallow water to me is 15 ft or less. kvd has won lots of tournaments, but name one tournament he has won fishing over 15 ft deep. fishing fast and shallow is his strength. if all the tournaments one year were all fished on lakes that required catching your bass 15 ft. or more, i really do not think you would see kvd in the winners circle. now, do not get me wrong, kvd is a very good fisherman, when it comes to shallow bass. so, it would make a very interesting article about why each individual pro focuses more on 15ft. or shallower, or deep water, over 15 ft.

Um, not to hijack this post, but when it comes to ledge fishing, do you know a better angler then KVD? Why would he come out with a 7'11" crankbait casting rod, the 6XD crankbait line only to fish shallow? I would read up and find that out that he actaully likes fishing deep....
